Reply:Honestly, you should do your set up so you can look out your window and paint what you see. The problem of painting from a photograph is that the camera makes so many of the artistic decisions for you. Your painting will come out flat looking--they all do, when you are painting from a photograph.
Look outside, really look. You can find the beauty in anything out there, even if you face a garbage dump. If that is the case, focus on the trees in the distance, or the birds or the clouds.
good luck!

Where can i buy flowers for my wedding cake online?

Where can i buy flowers for my wedding cake online?
1-800-flowers
1800flowers.com
I've always gotten good deals from them.
Reply:Try pro Flowers.com .Real flowers are very pretty as an addition on a wedding cake.We put real ones around my daughters cake even though most one on her cake were gum paste.Fresh ones went around the silver punch bowl as well.
Reply:I would recommend going through your florist, who is providing flowers for your wedding. You might be able to get a good deal on them since everything else is coming from the same place. You can also ask them about pesticides and poisonous plant varieties.
Reply:www.proflowers.com has flowers available for weddings. I was looking there for a bit for my wedding. I've ordered flowers from proflowers as gifts and received them too - the flowers have always been a really nice quality. When I emailed to inquire about the flowers for a wedding, I actually got a phone call from a rep and she said she would be my personal rep through the whole process if I chose to go with them. If I remember correctly, the prices were good too.
But if you didn't want to get a bunch of boquets, you can order like one bunch (not from the wedding section) and have them delivered the day before if you want.....The delivery dates and times have, in my experience, been right on time.
Reply:There is a place called immortalfloral.com and they have real flowers that are waxed. they have packages that you can buy for your cake (all different, depending on the size cake) you might check that out! Its pretty neat!
Reply:You can buy it from Amazon, cheaper than anywhere alse:

Hope that can help you/.
Reply:well I don't know if they don't have pesticides, but www.costco.com %26amp; www.samsclub.com have insane prices on flowers. I think Sams is $86 for 125 roses.
You could separate the petals and wash them in an organic fruit and veggie wash to get all the pesticides off if you want.

Could a florist use scheduling software?
My friends and I are developing some scheduling software.
Basically, a customer could go online and schedule a flower order and delivery.
Would this work for a floriest? Why or why not?
Could a florist use scheduling software?
Probably not. I've been a floral designer for a little over 20 years and I don't think I could use this. Things change so quickly in the course of an hour even at a florist, you cannot keep things hard and fast and have to have a good level of flexibility. You might have a handful of orders in the AM and then have family come in to order family funeral work. The funeral work has to come first and the home deliveries then get taken care of afterwards. That is why it is sometimes very difficult to give customers a specific time frame for delivery because there are just too many variables. We can usually promise BY a certain time especially if it is afternoon and someone will only be at work until 3 or something along those lines. But we really cannot be held to a set schedule because of orders that continue to come in, the variability in how long certain things take to make (say comparing a quick vase, compared to a casket spray), when shipments of flowers come in, etc.....
So that is the long answer, short answer is probably not.
It's also a LOT more helpful for us if customers call us instead of ordering online. When they order online, they cannot find out directly from us what flowers we have in the store at that very minute. They might be looking at pictures that have a HUGE assortment of flowers in them and unless we have a couple of days notice (sometimes more) we simply don't have every flower in every shade in stock at all times. When we talk to a customer on the phone, we can go over what is in stock in our store, what is in season, out of season, what looks nicest, etc..... so for me personally, even though I'm a big internet user, I much prefer for customers to call us directly.
Reply:use it for when plants or flowers come in. and rotate stock. try it. online customers are great when ordering flowers from another city. can find you on line .anything that makes you more money than it cost is areal bonus.
Reply:not a new concept.

I am looking for a Fuchsia (Voodoo) Flower!!!?
Ok so I am looking for a specific Fuchsia called Voodoo and although I have been surfing online forever I can't find a place that sells that kind!!! If anyone knows where I could get one I would really appreciate it.
I am looking for a Fuchsia (Voodoo) Flower!!!?
Where are you located? Here is the deal. There is a local nursery here in MI that has them every year...however they are likely sold out but I can check. They are a commercial grower, but sell to locals. If they do not ship to individuals I could see if they have any of the starts for next year (they are just smaller) available and I could ship to you (I have Paypal and am verified). Here is their info if you prefer to contact them (no website) Prielipp Farms 4665 Downing Hwy, Britton, Michigan (517) 451-5595. They may not call it voodoo, but just tell them the fuchsia with magenta and purple vs the pink and white that they also carry.
FYI, the ones I have out this year are the ones I over-wintered from last year.
Update...I just looked and mine might be Dark Eyes instead of Voodoo...here is a link showing the difference http://www.weidners.com/Fuchsia_page_1.h...
