*Cough* So yeah. I met this girl online and we fell in love with each-other. Her birthday is coming up and I want to send her flowers. Here is the catch. I don't want to seem creepy and ask for her address. Are their any websites that deliver flowers to the addresses of other members in which the sender is unable to see the address?
I'd appreciate any help, I really don't want her to feel uncomfortable so it has to be secure. Kinda like paypal but with flowers instead of money %26lt;.%26lt;

The on line flower is just the same as any flower shop. They both do need a place: like an address to sent the flower to. How else is she going to get the flower. Without an physical address your best luck is to sent her e card. I think she would appreciate that. What's most important is that your thoughtfulness that counts. Best of luck.

Ordering Wholesale Flowers Online?
Let's get real, flowers are expensive. They are really expensive for something that dies in 2 or 3 days. However, I have to admit, they really do give weddings a little something extra.
I don't want a lot of flowers. I actually think too many flowers is tacky and unoriginal. However, I do want simple, clean and classic rose centerpieces on my tables.
I was thinking about ordering roses from an online wholesale florist and putting together these centerpieces myself (and with help from family and some friends)
However, I know that ordering from wholesale can be hit or miss. I was thinking about pink roses. However, the color "pink" can vary greatly between each bunch of flowers. Pink can even be different from week to week, based on how the flowers have been growing.
Has anyone order flowers online through a wholesale? Particularly Roses? What was your experience?

I ordered 250 roses for my son's wedding in 2006. They arrived EXACTLY when they were supposed to.....on the dot. They said "by 11 a.m." and they were here about 10:45 a.m. You can track your order through Fed Ex. And....you can also speak with a representative if you have questions.
Now....look at all the "pinks" that they have. You can specifically order whatever "color" you want.
My only warning is that it is A LOT of work! Since I ordered so many roses it took me 2-1/2 hours to unwrap them.....cut the stems....and put them in water with floral food. Also, since the wedding was in the summer....thankfully I have an air conditioned house. They tell you NOT to put them into a refrigerator unless it is specifically made for flowers. The other thing....it's hard because they don't look "the best" when they arrive....but don't despair because they are all "squished together." Once they have been in the water with floral food for a few days....they looked GREAT!
With the wedding being on a Saturday, the roses arrived on Thursday, and then my sister and I did up the arrangements on Friday. It all worked out great and they looked beautiful!
Where I live, an individual rose runs $4. So, with ordering 250 roses...it would have cost me $1,000....but instead I only paid $160!! (The prices have gone up slightly from 2006, but it's still a great deal!)
ALSO....you CAN order already "done up" bouquets, which are still cheaper than ordering from a florist and it's free shipping! Click on "wedding flowers", then click on "bouquets."

Reply:I ordered 100 ivory and white roses from a whole online store and they were perfect. They came in a refrigerated Fed Exp truck and every single rose was beautiful.

They need to get there at least 3 days prior. I should have had mine arrive 5 days prior so they'd have more time to open. They were nicer than any florist, and fresher, too. Not to mention a fantastic price.
Reply:Don't forget you will need storage of the centerpieces. Refrigeration is best %26amp; finding that much space can be hard if not impossible to do at home! Also, you will have to arrange for your family, friends or coordinator to transport the flowers the day of %26amp; set them up. Check with your site to see if they will let someone come early to deliver %26amp; set up.
If you really want to go this route, you might want to do a test run. Your shower or a party would be a good trial run. Order a smaller pkg of flowers from the wholesaler, arrange them %26amp; see how they do during storage.

Reply:DONT DO IT ONLINE YOU ASKING FOR EXTRA PROBLEMS ON YOUR DAY you wont get to see them till they arrive and you may think there ugly and they might be ugly if your worried about cost go to a store and tell them your cost limit on flowers tell them what you want and they will help you I personally think that the only flowers you needs are the bouquet and maybe some small table arrangement on the tables but there is more things you can use in the arrangements then just flowers one wedding i went to used the amazing clear bowls and had blue gems at the bottom with fish in them and floating candles it was amazing

I been wanting a garden for so long and these caught my eye. I wanna know a reputable suggestion preferably from experience. Most people just look up the name online, I'm looking for something more.

If you are starting a garden, there are a lot of other plants that will give you a lot better results that the bromeliad you mentioned. It is not recommended as a landscape variety. I don't think that any bromeliad is a good choice for home gardening unless in a pot. the variety you mentioned is very small. Bromeliad connection, in austin texas might be able to help you.
Bleeding heart is another story however.
I love them for the foliage and the cool flowers.
Walmart actually had the white ones in the spring last year. They are sold as a dormant rootstock. mine did great. Remember though that bleeding hearts may go dormant when the temperatures get really hot especially if they are not getting quite enough water.
Rethink the bromeliad........the flowers are really insignificant, no matter what they tell you

t's only been months since I put up my cut flower delivery business. I made some modest profits on it. But lately, a number of customers claimed they didn't receive their ordered goods .But my records show the proper receipts they signed for the delivery. It's dishonesty, plain and simple.They contested the delivery from their credit card company and subsequently cancel all payments towards my account.
How should I deal with this form of dishonest act?

I'm also not above lying when dealing with liars. I handled disputes for a small business, and what the bank requested as proof, the bank GOT- whether or not we actually had it.
Most people who are lying to start out with won't fight the dispute further if they lose. After all, they know they are in the wrong.

Whats the easiest way to grow a white and a black Bat Flower from seed?
I've read alot of online instructions , just wondering what a good place inside or outside , what kind of light would work best , etc . I live in Victoria BC , so the climate outside isn't always that ideal to grow these since they grow in the understories of rainforests in deep shade naturally . Suggestions ...besides not growing them at all :)

What flowers should I get for the cast of girls in the musical production that I'm in?
I am the lead in my community theater's production of "Oklahoma!" and I would like to get all of the girls in the cast a flower. I need flowers for 13 chorus girls and then I'd like to get something a little nicer like a small boquet for 4 of the girls with bigger parts. Single red roses are rather expensive..5 dollars from what I've found. I'm having trouble shopping for single flowers online and finding out my options and the pricing. I'd like to get them something special and unique, but I am on a bit of a budget and there are a lot of girls. Also ideas for the boquets that wouldn't be too pricey. Should I get something for the director, costume ladies, and musical director as well? I was thinking maybe just cards for them, and we do give a group gift. Any ideas are appreciated.

Where is the best store to buy an inexpensive flower girl dress?
Flower girl dresses from bridal stores are sooo freakin' expensive :( I was hoping to spend less than $50.
I thought now would be the perfect time, since the easter dresses are all on sale. But everytime I look, the dress is either the wrong color (I want light blue) or too casual.
Any suggestions? I live in Ohio, and would prefer not to order online since my wedding is the last week of April.

Reply:OK , there are stores that sell "barely Used" bridal dresses. I live in a hick town, but I know there is a bigger world out there.
Reply:So I don't know where in Ohio you live, but I know the outlet malls have several kids' clothing stores. I can't promise they would have anything, so dont' go out of your way to get there (unless you need to go shopping anyway!!) but it's worth a look! You might have a hard time finding the right blue color, but if you wanted to go with white and go to JoAnn's or something and find the right blue material you could make a sash or bow to help bring it together. She didn't want boo- coo bucks spent on a toddler's dress. Well, this dress is PERFECT! Perfect color, beautiful.... the wedding is in the Fall this year. No one will ever know, (not that we care) and lets face it...a little girl can't be anything else but adorable in any dress! And I'm sure her parents are feeling great about the price. My daughter's wedding is costing a bundle...(we live in NJ) and this dress will "fit in" just like everyone else's but for a lot less!

Reply:Plenty of really pretty and not overpriced dresses can be found in many of larger department stores, especially during the Easter/spring season. There are also dresses for little girls for May procession ceremonies and 1st communion.

I can't promise they would have anything, so dont' go out of your way to get there (unless you need to go shopping anyway!!) but it's worth a look! You might have a hard time finding the right blue color, but if you wanted to go with white and go to JoAnn's or something and find the right blue material you could make a sash or bow to help bring it together. Reply:Fossil flowers are about as rare as chicken's teeth and I doubt that if you do find one for sale the price will be within the range of your pocket. The nearest you are likely to get are fossil leaves which are quite common in some deposits. Eurypterida are also not in great supply but another attractive alternative is a nice trilobite specimen. These are easy to obtain on-line, just do a Google search on trilobites for sale to see the choice. An ammonite which has been cut in two and polished showing the internal chambers of the shell can make a beautiful item even without the extra excitement of knowing its past. Good luck with your search, I think you have had a great idea for a gift.
Reply:I also discovered the cost of those types of specimins! So instead, I went with resin casts. Archaeopterix in particular. Now that is a 1 of a kind fossil that could never be purchased. It is also extremely important historically as the 1st physical connection between birds and dinosaurs. The cast is realistic you would not know it was fake without a magnifying glass. It is also a great piece of art about 2'x1' in size. I really enjoy it even though I know it is not real.
Huge shark teeth, skulls and other items are now available in resin casts. The originals are usually museum pieces so the casts are very detailed - you can even feel the serrations on the shark teeth!
I got mine from a local dealer, but do a web search or check on Ebay for resin fossil casts or similar.

The guy told me my credit card would be credited the amount of money i paid. How does this work? Will I get my money back some way?

At this time of year, there are a lot of plant sales coming. There will be the Occidental Art and Ecology plant sale (in Occidental and all organic-tons of unusual veggies), the Harvest for the Hungry plant sale (in Santa Rosa-lots of veggies and perennials), Willowside School (in Santa Rosa) has plants sales... this is just to name a few. If you check in "The Press Democrat" in the gardening section they list all the upcoming events.
Now for nurseries, there are sooooo many!!! We have a great range from the specialty to the full service. Grab your phone book and let your fingers do the walking - you may be surprised at what you see. There is a book dedicated just to Sonoma County nurseries, it's titled "The Guide to Sonoma County Nurseries" by SpringHill Press (their site is under construction).

Reply:I get seeds from several companies but mostly from "Thompson and Morgan" or from "park Seeds", for perennial plants the best place Ive found is "bluestone Perennials" mine come by second day air and in 20 years Ive only had one batch of 3 plants that were not good and they replaced them for me.

Where can I find pictures online of hydrangea beds?
We are transplanting 4 Hydrangeas and are trying to get ideas of plants that will go well with them. Every pic online Ive found is of a flower I want to see different bed ideas...thanks!
