Ordering flowers online?

we're trying to save money where we can, so my mother is going to do the flowers (she was a florist for a few years)

has anyone had expierience getting their wedding flowers in bulk from a website, how long do they last? should i do it?

Ordering flowers online?
best thing to do is go to Stop and Shop...they have the best flowers if youre gonna do them yourself...i got roses and they lasted me two weeks...changing water everyday
Reply:you may be better off speaking with a local florist (small shop) ask them if they would consider ordering the flowers for you in bulk and take a 10 percent markup from cost.

You would get them fresh and would be assured of high quality.
Reply:Hi. Yes, I ordered roses for my son's wedding from rosesource.com

http://www.rosesource.com/

They sell all kinds of flowers, not just roses, but I did order roses. You can read my testimonial on their site. It's under "Gail B."

I was EXTREMELY nervous ordering, but everything worked out! I don't have to tell you (or your mom) how much work it is, I'm sure your mom knows. Since the wedding was on a Saturday, I had the roses delivered on Thursday, and we did up centerpieces, etc. on Friday. It is a HUGE savings! I ordered 250 roses (which would have cost me well over $1,250 locally, and I only paid (in 2006) $160!!

They held up well and looked beautiful for the reception! Well worth it.

Another reputable one is: www.growersbox.com

I almost went with them until I stumbled upon rosesource and since I wanted roses, I went with them instead (and they were a little cheaper than growersbox.)

Good luck in your decision!
